Theresa L. "Terry" Eckenroth

Theresa Lynn "Terry" Eckenroth (Nee: Ziola), 68, of South Amboy, NJ, passed away Saturday afternoon, May 10, 2025.
She was born May 12, 1956 to parents John, Sr. and Virginia Ziola. Terry grew up in South Amboy and attended Harold G. Hoffman High School, where she graduated in 1974. She had a love for adventure and relocated to Florida when she was married to Roger. After the passing of her husband, she returned to New Jersey to be with her family, and began working for Bio-Shine. She had worked there for 20+ years, where she formed lifelong friendships. Following her retirement, she indulged in her passions, including crafting, woodworking, and being Yia Yia to her grandsons.
Terry was preceded in death by her parents and husband of 20 years Roger Eckenroth.
Terry is survived by two loving daughters Kali and Staci Eckenroth; her two cherished grandsons, Oliver and Sebastian; and three brothers, Robert Ziola, his wife Carol, James Ziola, his wife Elizabeth, and John Ziola Jr., his wife Lisa. She also leaves behind many other family members and friends who touched her life in meaningful ways, a special mention to her lifelong friend Barbara Mason.
Friends are invited to pay their respects to the family at the Kurzawa Funeral Home 338 Main Street, South Amboy, NJ 08879 on Thursday, May 15, 2025 from 4pm to 7pm and Friday, May 16, 2025 from 10am to 11:30am; a service will be offered at 11:30am. Burial will follow at Christ Church Cemetery, Sayreville, NJ.
Instead of flowers, the family has created a memory book and requests that loved ones contribute their fondest memories to fill the pages.
