Stanislaw Wieczorek
March 8, 1942 — October 23, 2022
Stanislaw Wieczorek, “Stasiek” of Pisz,Poland and Woodbridge, NJ passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, October 23, 2022 at the age of 80. He died of a rare cancer of the liver ducts (metastatic chondriocarcinoma). The immediate family had the great fortune fo seeing Stasiek within his last few days to say goodbye.
Born and raised in Poland, he and his family escaped Communism and came to the US in 1987 in pursuit of the American dream.
A loving and devoted husband, father, grandpa and great-grandpa, Stasiek is survived by his wife, Stefania (who he lovingly called Stenia), by his 2 children, Beata and Slawek and their spouses, Jarek Skowron and Beata Wieczorek, his 4 grandchildren, Martyna, Daniel, Sebastian, Malwina, and Veronica as well as 2 great grandchildren, Amy and Noah.
Stasiek, the irreplaceable patriarch, loved and centered his life around his family and always made sure everyone was taken care of. He was always there whenever he was needed, never saying “no”. Extremely hard working, yet very joyful, his grandkids in particular were keen on sharing their many happy memories growing up with their wonderful “Dziadek.”. He was fearless, taking on any challenge, living life fully, and fighting until his last breathe. He spent the last years of his life retired with his wife in Spotswood, NJ. His family is heartbroken as he was the glue foundation on which we all relied and depended on.
Friends are invited to pay their respects to the family at the Kurzawa Funeral Home, 338 Main Street, South Amboy, NJ, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm on Thursday, October 27, 2022. A 10am mass will be offered, on Friday, October 28, 2022 at Sacred Heart Church, South Amboy. Burial to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Parlin.
