Sebastian M Lavecchia

Sebastian M. LaVecchia, 91, of Sayreville, NJ, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 10, 2019.
Born in Newark, NJ, the son of Sebastian and Lena, he lived there for 24 years. Upon completion of military service, he moved to East Orange after marrying Rose Marie Brescia, where they lived for 25 years. In 1978 he moved to Sayreville, and was an Electronic Engineer for Blonder Tongue labs until 1993. Thereafter, he worked for The Home Depot in Old Bridge, NJ for sixteen years.
Sebastian, “Sonny” enjoyed his family and spending time fishing and gardening at the sea shore. His hobbies also include dabbling in electronics and fixing things. He was an avid animal lover.
Sebastian is survived by his children Martin LaVecchia, Michael LaVecchia, John LaVecchia, Kathy Marshall and her husband Robert. Predeceased him are his beloved wife Rose Marie, and sisters Frances Kurbel, Pauline Capra and Josephine Lesho.
