Rosa Hernandez Santiago Profile Photo
Rosa Marie Hernandez (Mrs. Santiago) was born, Wednesday, May 15,1929 to Antonia and Manuel Hernandez in Ponce, Puerto Rico. She came into this country at the age of 17 and created an exemplary life. She was the wife of Meridor Santiago, and was an exceptional mother to both Milagros and Maritza Santiago. As a mother she worked to put them both through college where she inspired them to become a teacher and a pediatrician.

Rosa lived for her family and went on to raise 2 grandchildren, Ivette Dempsey and Jessica Sosa and went on to help raise her great grandchildren Francesca and Alexandra. Rosa adored her adopted daughter Carol and her great grandchild Jake along with all of her nieces and nephews.

Rosa had a passion to help others and loved to make sure everyone was always eating. She also had a great passion for telling her son-in-law Gordon Inverno and grandson Scott Dempsey what to do and how to do it. “Food is love, Love is Food” is what she lived by and always by the Grace of God.

She was a true warrior and never gave up to fight for her family till her last breath on Saturday, November 14, 2020. Rosa was a true example of God's Grace and we will never forget the impact she has left on our lives.

A service will be held at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Rt 1 North, Woodbridge, NJ on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at 10am.
