It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ronald J. Petro, 77 of Pocono Lake, PA. Ronald passed away peacefully on Monday, March 17, 2025.
Born in Harrison, NJ later moving to Sayreville and finally settling in Pocono Lake where he has resided for the past 21 years.
Ron was very active with St. Mark's Church and the congregation in PA.
He retired from a 35 year long career at First Energy Corp commonly known as (JCP&L) Jersey Central Power & Light Electric Company.
He was a loving, caring man with a Heart of Gold. He passed the time away cruising, traveling, camping, and Polka dancing with his beautiful wife Millie.
He was a big part of the Polka family where he met great people, made life long friends, and traveled to polka dances all over.
He was proceeded by his loving wife Mildred (Millie)Petro, his father Joseph Petro, mother Stella Petro,and brother's Mark Petro, Joseph Petro and Carl Petro.
Ronald is survived by his brother Thomas Petro, his wife Lisa, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and many cousins.
Friends are invited to pay their respects to the family at the Kurzawa Funeral Home 338 Main Street, South Amboy, NJ 08879 on Saturday, March 22, 2025 from 9am to 12 pm, and a catholic prayer service will start at 12 pm. A burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Parlin, NJ.
