Robert "Hossie" Hospidor

Robert "Hossie" Hospidor, age 91, of the Morgan section of Sayreville passed peacefully with loved ones at his side on October 20,2025. 

He was born on December 12, 1933 in Perth Amboy where he spent his youth; over the years family was regaled with many madcap stories of the times.

Hoss loved baseball and was a diehard Detroit Tigers baseball fan for over 60 some years. A true fan all those years for a team whose winning seasons were elusive indeed. Bob had worked as a Middlesex County Sheriffs Officer for over 30 years of exemplary service.

As much as Bob loved baseball, he loved his family more. His best times were spent in the company of wife Jo, sons Rob and Tom, daughter in laws Jessica and Sue, sister Gail, brother Harold, his wife Pat, sister in law Ellie, Nephew Joey and many more nephews and nieces.

Hossie will be missed by all who knew him, he was a nice man, a real good guy. Rest in Peace Bob
