Peter G. Lorentz

Peter G. Lorentz, 73 of Parlin, NJ, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2026.

He was born in Perth Amboy, NJ. Peter retired from General Motors in Linden, NJ, after 33 years as a body shop assembly line worker. He later worked for 9½ years with Middlesex County MCAT as a medical driver. Peter was a member of The Madison Park Firehouse for 37 years and a longtime fan of Rutgers and the NY Giants.

Peter was predeceased by his parents, Heinz and Helga Lorentz, and his brother, Randy.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Joann Lorentz; his daughter, Stephanie Cross, and son-in-law, Jimi, his cherished grandson, Liam Cross; and his sisters, Eva Zoldi, Edie Holden, and Doris Getz and a brother-in-law John Lech, Sr. as well as many nieces and nephews

Cremation will be handled by The Kurzawa Funeral, 338 Main Street, South Amboy, NJ 08879. In keeping with Peter’s wishes, there will be no services or visitation.
