Patryk K. Lakomy

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Patryk Lakomy on Saturday, June 8th, 2024. At the young age of 21, he tragically passed away in an accident doing what he loved most.
Patryk was born in Elizabeth, NJ on September 17, 2002 to his loving mother Edyta Lakomy and father Krzysztof Lakomy. He graduated from Sayreville War Memorial High School in 2021. After high school he pursued a career as a machine operator, in the local #381, and had worked for International Paper in Spotswood, NJ.
Although in the career of operating, Patryk was a builder and insisted on making his visions a reality. He just finished remodeling his entire room all with his own two hands, perfecting every detail along the way. Patryk had the most vivid imagination with the most ambition you can think of in such a young man. He loved money; Patryk was a go-getter. He had so many ideas at once, daily, that he didn’t get to execute a quarter of everything he had planned for himself.
At only 21, he got to travel the world. He owned one of his most prized possessions, his GT86. He loved to build legos and spent most of his time with his girlfriend, Haley Redding, whom he loved more. That was their thing, “I love you.. I love you more.” Just going to show the love he spread through this world.
Patryk will be survived by his adored big sister, Kinga Lakomy Cora who will miss him every single moment of every day. She’ll miss his advice, his heavy hugs, his infectious laugh and by his loving God Daughter and only niece, Lila Cora, who we all wish he got to see grow. He always carried her with him close in his wallet. His brother-in-law, Angel Cora, who he shared a passion for cars and video games with. Patryk is also survived by his Grandma and Grandpa; Wladyslawa i Stanislaw Lakomy. He is also survived by all of his caring Aunts and Uncles; Sylwia, Dorota, Bogusia, Iwona, Wacek, Grzegorz i Slawek. As well as all of his loving cousins.
He had the best heart, and his kindness will be felt through us until the end of time; was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone and everyone who needed it. Patryk was the type of person to donate to the homeless every single time he saw someone who needed it and asked no questions.
His favorite thing to say every single moment he got to see his mom was “I love you Mamciu.”
He was surrounded by a world of loving pets, one of the biggest animal lovers you’ll ever meet. His rescued cat, named Chicken; two dogs named Louie and Sky; his little rat, Lucky. And most importantly, his best friend that he gets to meet back up with in Heaven, his husky Luna.
Patryk will be dearly missed by us all, “WE LOVE YOU PACIU”
Friends are invited to pay their respects to the family on Thursday, June 13, 2024 from 9:30am to 12:30pm at the Kurzawa Funeral Home, 338 Main Street, South Amboy, NJ 08879. A 1:30pm funeral mass will be offered at St. Stephen’s Roman Catholic Church, 490 State Street, Perth Amboy, NJ 08861. Cremation will be private.
Family is accepting donations in lieu of flowers to honor Patryk’s memory.
