Mimi Sae Swensen-Isaacs, 62 of Laurence Harbor, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 7th, 2026 at home surrounded by love. She faced her illness with remarkable dignity and grace. Mimi may have left this world, but the love she gave will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Born on January 9th, 1964 in New York City, Mimi lived a life marked by humility, hard work, and deep familial devotion. She will be missed for her warm smile, quiet wisdom, and ability to bring comfort to those around her. Whether through caring for her family, sharing stories, or simply offering a listening ear, she left an indelible mark on everyone she met.
Mimi Swensen-Isaacs was a woman of quiet strength and enduring warmth, whose life was defined by love, resilience, and simple joys. Born in 1964 in New York City. A gifted pianist graduated from The Juilliard School with a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree from Hunter College City University of New York. She navigated life’s challenges with grace, touching countless hearts through her kindness and gentle spirit. In her later years, even as health declined, she continued to radiate peace and affection until her final days.
She is survived by husband Edward S. Isaacs, parents Kikue and Anton Swensen, brother Ian Swensen, wife Weicong, children Julia, Natalya, Cole, and brother Joseph Swensen, wife Beatrix Swensen, children Dana, Jonathan, Nicholas, Beatrix. Brother-in-law Gabriel Isaacs and sister-in-law Sara Lopez-Isaacs, children Eve and Dalia.
A private memorial service will be held at the Kurzawa Funeral Home 338 Main Street, South Amboy, NJ 08879 on Thursday, July 9th, 2026 at noon then a burial will be at Floral Park Cemetery 104 Deans Rhode Hall Road, Monmouth Junction, NJ 08852. at 1:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a charity of your choice.
