Michael “Mike” Anthony, age 58, of Sayreville, NJ, passed away on September 11,
2025.

Born on August 7, 1967, in New Brunswick, Michael was a lifelong resident of
Sayreville. For the past 30 years, he was a dedicated employee at Coca-Cola Liberty in
South Brunswick.

Mike will be remembered for his playful spirit, charm, love of life, and the joy he brought
to everyone around him. He loved spending time with family and friends, especially
while taking his camper and boat to Lake Wallenpaupack—one of his favorite places.
Sundays were often spent watching football, a tradition he truly enjoyed and rarely
missed until he lost a bet.

He had a deep passion and love for his family, none more so than his son Jake, who
was and will always be the pride and joy of his life. Mike also cherished his close
friendships and maintained strong bonds over the years that meant the world to him.

Affectionately known as “Funcle Mike,” the “fun uncle,” he had a gift for making people
laugh and feel loved, always bringing joy and laughter wherever he went. Mike always
enjoyed a cup or two of Dunkin Donuts coffee, in fact, he drank so much of it over the
years, we’re pretty sure the stock will take a hit — someone should check on Wall
Street.

Mike gave back to his community by coaching the Morgan Parlin Panthers alongside his
brothers for many years, where he positively impacted the lives of countless young
athletes with his patience, encouragement, and passion for the game.

He is survived by his beloved son, Jake Anthony; his longtime partner, Debbie Connors;
his brothers and sisters-in-law: Greg Anthony and Sylvia, Brian Anthony and Ruth, Rob
Anthony and Barbara, and Glenn Anthony and Lizette. “Funcle Mike” also leaves behind
many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, all of whom he adored.
He was predeceased by his parents, Bob and Jean Anthony, and his grandparents,
Dolph and Margaret Anthony; James and Mildred Griffin.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Friends are invited to pay their respects to the family on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 from 4 pm to 7 pm at the Kurzawa Funeral Home, 338 Main Street, South Amboy, NJ 08879.
