Matthew “Skip” House, 82, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 14, 2020.

Matthew was born in South Amboy, and lived for over 40 years in North Brunswick. Matthew, better known as “Skip” to most, served his country proudly in the United States Army. Under the GI Bill he was able to attended and graduate from Rutgers University with a degree in Mathematics. He began a career in computers after college where he excelled enough to retire early at the age of 51. Skip, was a Mensa Member, known for his intellect and was a master chess player. Most who knew him well would probably agree he was better known for the side effect of this, his unusual sense of humor! In his later years spending time with his five grandchildren gave him much joy.

Skip was predeceased by his loving parents Irvin and Frances, and brother David House.

He is survived by his loving sons Leonard House, Jonathan House and his wife Jessica,he was a cherished grandfather to Nina, Olivia, Jonny Jr., Julia and Isabella. Dear brother Tom House and nephew Casey of Arizona.

He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend and will be profoundly missed.

Services are being held private but his life will be celebrated.
