Mary Pritting

Mary Bukovec Pritting, 68, of South Amboy died on Thursday, July 20, 2023.
Mary was born in South Amboy and lived in Sayreville/South Amboy her entire life. She last served as the Head of Children Services/Assistant Director of the Union Public Library. She was a respected member of New Jersey Library Association and a Leader in the Libraries of Union County. Mary was dedicated to her family, friends, and felines. She was an avid reader and world traveler.
Mary is pre-deceased by her husband George Pritting, her father Robert J. Bukovec, mother Lucretia (née Zucaro) Bukovec, and brother Robert T. Bukovec.
She is survived by brothers Peter of Charlotte, NC; Steven of Sayreville, NJ; and John Bukovec of Oakland, NJ; nephews Nicholas of Woodbridge, NJ; Max Bukovec of Charlotte, NC; niece Marley Bukovec of Charlotte, NC; and nephews John J. and James Bukovec of Oakland, NJ. Mary was a beloved family member and friend. She will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 25, 2023 from 6-9 p.m. at Kurzawa Funeral Home, 338 Main St. South Amboy. The funeral mass will be Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 256 Augusta St. South Amboy. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to The American Kidney Fund ( www.kidneyfund.org ) or St. Jude Children’s Hospital ( www.stjude.org ).
