Mary C. Jurick
June 17, 1951 — February 29, 2024
Mary C. Jurick, 72 of Avenel, NJ entered into eternal rest on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at home with the love of her life, Pedro, by her side.
Mary was born in Plainfield, NJ in 1951, the daughter of George and Bernice. She grew up in Cranford and graduated from Cranford High School in 1969. Mary had worked for Bell Telephone, in many departments, for 40 years, retiring in customer service at the age of 57. She enjoyed spending leisure time with Pedro, going to watch him and his band perform and going dancing.
Mary had a deep admiration for the Yankees, and had a crush on Bernie Williams, but above all she loved her family, friends and her wire haired terrier Princess. She will be missed but never forgotten.
Mary is predeceased by her parents, her sister Patricia Jurick, her brother-in-law Dennis Schmidt and her nephew George M. Jurick.
She is survived by her life long love Pedro Figueroa, her dear sister Ann Schmidt, brother George W. Jurick, and his wife Gabriella (Gabby), caring nieces Ceri Salais, Gabriella Jurick and Jenna Jurick. Also survived by other loving family and friends.
A graveside service will be offered on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, 1 pm at Saint Gertrude Cemetery, 53 Inman Avenue, Colonia, NJ, 07067
