Marie Kelly Ferrara

Marie Ferrara (Nee: Kelly) 73 of Sayreville, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2023.
Marie was born and raised in Staten Island, NY the daughter of Joseph Kelly, Sr. and Adeline, she attended Curtis High School, and was in a co/op program where she worked one week and went to school one week during her junior and senior year; graduated in 1967. Marie worked for CBS scheduling commercials. She attended college later in life at Wagner College in Staten Island and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in nursing and was at St. Vincent's hospital from 1980 to 1988. In 1992 she worked at Lily Pond Nursing Home as assistant director and then director until 2011. After that she did private healthcare where she continued to devote her talent in caring for those in need. Marie was very proud of her Irish heritage and in her free time liked to go camping, cruises, gambling, drinking her wine, playing on her computer, iPad, scrolling through Facebook. She was a huge Donald Trump supporter.
Marie is predeceased by her parents, her brother Joseph Kelly, Jr., her brother-in-law John Cupo.
Marie is survived by her husband Jahcino “Jack” Ferrara, her sister Eileen Cupo, her son Christopher Ferrara, step-children Donna Ferrara, Colleen Ferrara, Paulette Ferrara, and Anthony Ferrara. Grandchildren Cory Swortfiguer, Tyler Swortfiguer, Cheyenne Deronda, Trevor Deronda, Meghan Ferrara, Amber Ferrara, Bethany Ferrara. Great Grandchildren Cierra Swortfiguer, Logan Swortfiguer, Landon Swortfiguer, and Jacqueline Swortfiguer. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to pay their respects at the Kurzawa Funeral Home 338 Main Street, South Amboy, NJ 08879 on Monday, January 16, 2023 from 5pm to 7pm. A 9:30am funeral mass will be offered at Saint Bernadette Church, Parlin NJ. A private cremation service will follow. In lieu of flowers donation to American Heart Society.
