Luigi Di Iorio 69 passed away suddenly on February 7, 2023 Cape Coral, Florida. .
Born on May 24,1953 in Forio di Ischia, Italy and became a New Yorker when his parents Giovanni and Francesca Di Iorio moved to the U.S. in 1962. Louie was known for being the most generous and outgoing person. He loved to ride his motorcycle and was a member and Road Captain of his motorcycle club. He was big on charity, with his club members, he loved surprising those in need with gifts during holiday seasons.
Louie loved to cook and bake for everyone and was often referred to as the Pizza Man. He was a proud Grandpa and adored his granddaughter Julianna. Louie moved to Cape Coral Florida in 2011, where he met and married the love of his life Helen on his birthday. They traveled and enjoyed life. He was the happiest he ever was in life with a smile that could light up a room. Louie made a big impact on everyone’s life that he met and will forever be missed.
He survived by his beloved Wife, Helen Irene Di Iorio; his son John (Stephanie) Di Iorio; and his daughter Lauren (Nick) Petrecca; his step daughter Danielle (Jim) Logan; his granddaughter Julianna Rose Petrecca; grandsons, Chevi, Michael, and Jimmie Logan; his sister Maria (Pasquale) Del Ponte, Anna (late husband Sylvester) Patalano, Josephine (Joseph) Di Virgilio and his brother Frank (Ester) Di Iorio; his nephews Vinny, John, Dominick, Anthony and Johnny, his nieces Marilyn, Mary Ann, Annmarie and Francine.
Friends are invited to pay their respects to the family on Friday, February 17, 2023 from 2 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 9 pm at Kurzawa Funeral Home 338 Main Street, South Amboy, NJ 08879. A 9:30 am funeral mass will be offered at Saint Mary Church, South Amboy, NJ on Saturday morning.. Burial will be at Saint Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at 11:30 am.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking to have donations made to The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
