Lorraine A. Kost

Lorraine A. Kost (Nee: Gregor), 96 of Sayreville, entered into eternal rest on Friday, April 17, 2026.

She was born and raised in South Amboy, but lived most of her life in Sayreville, and was a devoted member of Sacred Heart Church. Lorraine was a member of the Sacred Heart Senior Citizens Club, St. Stan’s Senior Club, as well as a volunteer of South Amboy Hospital.

Lorraine is predeceased by her parents Steven and Pearl, her husband Lawrence, her sister Mary Lou Byers and brother-in-law Robert Byers.

She is survived by her daughter Deborah Safier, and her husband Jack, two granddaughters Leslie Safier, and her husband Garrett Nakamura, Amy Safier, and her husband Victor Anaya, three great grandchildren Zeke, Mina and Lydia. She is also survived by a nephew Lee Byers, and his wife Margaret.

Friends are invited to pay their respects to the family on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at the Kurzawa Funeral Home 338 Main Street, South Amboy, NJ 08879 from 9:30am to 10:30am, an 11 am funeral will follow at Sacred Heart Church, South Amboy, NJ. She will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Parlin, NJ.
