In loving memory of Linda Joyce (Nee: Beshada)Carney, a beautiful soul whose love for her family was
unending. On Monday, May 29, 2023, Linda passed away at home after a long illness with breast
cancer and other complications at the age of 76.

Linda was born in South Amboy, NJ on Monday, May 8, 1947 to the late Edward and Eleanor Beshada. She graduated from Hoffman High School in South Amboy and soon thereafter married for 57 years to her best friend, high school sweetheart Pat. They raised their four children in Parlin before moving back to South Amboy.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Eleanor Beshada, and two brothers, Edward
Beshada, Jr. and David Beshada.

Linda is survived by her devoted husband, Patrick Carney and her loving children, Patrick Carney, Jr. and his wife Dawn Carney (who she called her 5 th child) of Parlin, NJ; Deborah Carney-Gumpper and her husband William Gumpper, of East Brunswick, NJ; Melinda Clugsten and her husband, Jim Clugsten, of East Brunswick, NJ; and Tammy Palermo and her husband, Joe Palermo, of Toms River. Linda’s grandchildren Brian Carney, Andrew Carney, Jared Rankins, Jenna Carney, Sean Gumpper, Aiden Gumpper, Angelina Palermo, Kai Clugsten, Joey Palermo, Leini Clugsten and her great-grandchildren, Olivia Carney, Rylee Franciamore, Liela Rankins, Miles Rankins and Autumn Iqbal, were the loves of her life; her loving sisters, Gail Roberts and Judy McCabe; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews.

Linda’s love knew no bounds, always extending to her family, friends, and those she encountered. Her
kind, gentle, and selfless spirit made everyone around her feel cherished and special. May she rest in
eternal peace knowing that her love will live on in the lives of those she touched. We will forever miss
the love and laughter she brought into our lives. Her selfless sacrifices and profound impact she had on
shaping who we have become will never be forgotten or taken for granted. Linda was not only a wife,
mother, and grandmother, but most of all she was a constant source of support, guidance, and unwavering love. Some loves are too hard to bear, and with great love comes great pain, and with great loss comes the greatest pain of all. If love could have saved her, she would have lived forever.
