Joseph G. Rachwal, 58 of South Amboy, entered into eternal rest Thursday, June 26, 2025.
Joseph was born in Perth Amboy, the son of the late Theodore Rachwal, Sr. and Joan Cleaver. He was a life-long resident of Morgan then South Amboy. Joseph was a devoted son who cherished his late dog Chow and greatly enjoyed attending concerts. He cherished every moment spent hanging out with his buddies and taking memorable trips to Florida. Baseball was his lifelong passion, and even into adulthood, he found joy in playing softball, all while eagerly cheering for the Mets that he loved so much. Joseph volunteered at the American Legion and was highly regarded by everyone there. His heart truly shined when playing with his nieces and nephews, especially as they were young and full of energy, and he adored cooking on the grill, sharing delicious moments filled with love and laughter.
Joseph is predeceased by his parents and brother Theodore Rachwal, Jr., and is survived by his dear sister, Helen Figueroa, his many nieces and nephews Tara, Gina, Jessica, Rebecca, Matthew, Alyssa, Patrick, Oscar, Peter, Holly-Anne and great nieces Larissa and Charlie. Close family, Robin Cleaver, stepbrothers, Matthew and his wife Angela, Danny and wife Sheila, and Bobby. Many aunts, uncles, and cousins, family and friends. Extended thanks to his friend Brian and all his other buddies.
Family and friends are invited to gather and pay their heartfelt respects at 11am on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Saint James Cemetery, Woodbridge, NJ, as we come together to honor and say farewell.
