We bid a farewell to our father, grandfather, brother and friend , Joseph Daino, of Laurence Harbor, who departed from this world on Monday, April 7, 2025, at the age of 79.

Joe was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY on August 7, 1945 the son of Charles and Nancy. When Joe was 21 he enlisted into the United States Army, and served his country proudly overseas in Germany during the late 1960’s. After his honorable discharge Joe came home and then moved to NJ to start a family. He was a skilled carpenter who was very well rounded in all areas of construction, both in the residential and commercial fields. When Joe was home, he was hard at work enjoying his family, playing cards, board games and creating lasting memories that his family will forever share. Not only was Joe a dedicated tradesman, he was a great father to his children. One of the things Joe will be missed for, is his seven fish Christmas dinner, especially his baked clams. Joe may have had his ups and downs throughout life, but no matter what he still stood tall everyday and gave new meaning to perseverance. His family can go anywhere and are able to hold their heads up, because so many people that had known Joe, and those great memories will live on through the hearts of everyone.

He is predeceased by his parents, his brother Peter Daino and sister-in-law Pat Daino.

Joseph is survived by his children Charles Daino, James Daino, his wife Julie and Lisa Daino, his two grandkids Brian Murphy and Joseph Daino. Dear brother to Vincent Daino, his wife Carol, Charles Daino, Mary Ann Tarantola, Cecilia Gennattasio, her husband Louis, Elizabeth Lakis and sister-in-law Kathy Marino.

To commemorate his remarkable life and the memories we cherish, friends are invited to pay their respects on Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 4pm to 7pm at the Kurzawa Funeral Home 338 Main Street, South Amboy, NJ 08879. On Friday April 11, 2025 a 9:30am funeral mass will be held at Saint Bernadette Church, Parlin, NJ. Followed by an entombment at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Woodbridge, NJ.

We welcome all who knew him to join us in celebrating the life of a man who was loved deeply and will be missed. A pillar of strength and a beacon of love, his absence leaves a void in our hearts.
