Joan Wojewoda

Joan Wojewoda, 51 of Rehoboth Beach, DE passed away peacefully on Friday, January 16, 2026 at Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.

Joan was born and raised in Sayreville, New Jersey, where she spent her early years surrounded by family, friends, and lifelong memories. In later years, she moved to Delaware, where she continued to embrace life with warmth, independence, and a deep love for new experiences.

She was predeceased by her beloved parents, Dominik Wojewoda and Helen Wojewoda nee Nowicki.

Joan is survived by her sister, Maryann Zakrzewski nee Wojewoda, and her husband, Gerald Zakrzewski, as well as her nieces, Stephanie Zakrzewski and Rachel Zakrzewski.

Joan lived a life of adventure. She had a true passion for travel and cherished exploring new places along the way. Whether near or far, her journeys reflected her curiosity, courage, and joyful spirit.

A 9am graveside service will be on Friday, January 30, 2026 at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Johnson Lane, Parlin section of Sayreville, NJ.
