Jerzy S. Pulwin of Sayreville, NJ passed away peacefully in his sleep during the early hours of Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at the age of 75, in his home surrounded by family.
Jerzy was born in Nowy Cydzyn, Poland, on January 1, 1949 to father Zygmunt Pulwin
and mother Czesiawa Pulwin (Nee: Skiadanek). In adulthood Jerzy worked as a civilian mechanic for the Polish military, completing a tour in Egypt as a part of United Nations peacekeeping operations during the late 1970s. Following this Jerzy became a carpenter and tradesman, work he continued throughout his life after moving to New Jersey in 1993 to provide a better life for his family. He will be remembered as highly skilled, hardworking, and dedicated.
Jerzy is predeceased by his parents, sister Jadwiga, and brother Czeslaw.
He is survived by his wife Urszula Pulwin, sister Halina Debek (nee Pulwin), brother
Kazik Pulwin, his children, Zbigniew, Ivona, Ania, Mateusz, and Kamil, and four
grandchildren, Darian, Lukasz, Angelina, and Cassandra.
Friends are invited to pay their respects on Friday, June 21, 2024, from 8:30am to 10am at the Kurzawa Funeral Home, 338 Main Street, South Amboy, NJ 08879. An 11am funeral mass will be offered at St. Stephen’s Church, 490 State Street, Perth Amboy, NJ 08861. Burial will take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Parlin section of Sayreville, NJ.
