It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Jan Lukowski of Matawan, NJ on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at the age of 67.
Jan was born to Adela and Konstanty Lukowski, in Dabrowy, Poland, he was a man of many passions, loved fishing and spent countless hours on the water. Jan was also a master of the kitchen, taking great joy in preparing various foods, including smoking his own meat and fish. In his later years, he delighted in making cheeses, breads, and other homemade delicacies. His work ethic was unmatched, and dedicated his life to providing for his family.
Jan is predeceased by his parents, but leaves behind his beloved wife, Elzbieta Lukowska, whom he cherished above all else. He was a loving father to his daughter Monika (and her husband Marcin), and his son Lukasz (and his wife Agnieszka). Jan was also a proud and loving grandfather to Kacper, Franciszek, Antoni, and Vincent. Also survived by his dear sister Danuta and his brother Andrzej, as well as extended family and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.
Jan will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. His warmth, kindness, and infectious joy for life touched the lives of all who knew him. He was always there to help others, and his legacy of love and generosity will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
Friends are invited to pay their respects to the family on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at the Kurzawa Funeral Home 338 Main Street, South Amboy, NJ 08879 from 8am to 10am. An 11am funeral mass will be offered at St. John Paul II Parish, St Stephen church 490 State Street, Perth Amboy, NJ 08861. Family is requesting that no flowers to be ordered.
