Henry Dittmar
May 3, 1928 — March 14, 2018
Henry Dittmar, age 89, of Parlin, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 14, 2018.
Henry was born in Manhattan, NY, the son of late Charles and Mary. He served his country proudly during the Korean War and received a Victory Medal. After his military duty, he worked for New York Bell as a telephone supervisor for over 30 years, retiring in 1984. Henry was a devoted son, husband, father, and friend to us all; and he will be missed dearly.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years Doris, loving daughters Susan Englert (Arthur) and Janice Dittmar (Carlo Dianda), cherished grandchildren April Jones (Ronald), Ian Englert, Jessica Dianda, and his great grandchild Dusty Jones.
He was preceded in death by his brother Frederick Dittmar.
Friends are invited to pay their respects to the family on Monday, March 19, 2018 from 5 to 8 PM and from 10 AM the following morning at the Kurzawa Funeral Home 338 Main Street, South Amboy, NJ 08879. There will be an 11 AM prayer service scheduled for Tuesday at the funeral home by Pastor Bruce Smith from Christ Memorial Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at Chestnut Hill Cemetery in East Brunswick.
