Helen Wojewoda

Helen Wojewoda (née Nowicki) 93 of Sayreville, NJ passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 29, 2025.
Born on February 27, 1932, Helen was a lifelong resident of Sayreville and a devoted member of the Sacred Heart Church in South Amboy, where she faithfully participated in the Sacred Heart Rosary Society.
Helen was also a proud member of the Tuesday Club at the Sayreville Senior Center, where she spent many happy hours playing bingo, sharing laughter, and making lasting friendships.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Dominik Wojewoda; her parents, Joseph and Stephanie Nowicki; and her brothers, Leo, Joseph, and Edward Nowicki.
Helen is survived by her loving daughter Maryann Zakrzewski and her husband Gerald Zakrzewski; her daughter Joan Wojewoda; and her cherished grandchildren, Rachel and Stephanie.
Helen will be remembered for her warm heart, her snacks and desserts, and the kindness she shared with everyone who knew her.
Friends are invited to a 10am funeral mass on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at the Sacred Heart Church, South Amboy, NJ. A burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Parlin, NJ.
