Helen T. Sakalos
October 3, 1927 — December 27, 2022
Helen T. Sakalos, (Nee: Fabiszewski) 95 a life-long resident of Sayreville, NJ, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, December, 24, 2022 at home with her daughter by her side.
Helen was the daughter of Jan and Alexandra, she attended Sayreville High School and was a seamstress for Charles Komar & Sons for over 30 years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Rosary Society, an avid gardener, loved animals and to cook.
Predeceased by her parents, husband Stephen, brothers Walter, Stanley, John, Benjamin, Edward and Francis; a sister Frances.
Helen is survived by children Stephen, and his wife Jane of Parlin, NJ, Nancy Apito of Sayreville and Alice Sakalos of Sayreville. Adored grandmother to Peter Apito, and his partner Michael Amerman, Diane Szalecki, and her husband Michael, David Apito, and his wife Melissa and Matthew, and his wife Lauren. Cherished great grandmother of Logan, Luke, Liam, Nicholas and Savannah.
Friends are invited to pay their respects to the family on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 from 4pm to 7pm at the Kurzawa Funeral Home 338 Main Street, South Amboy, NJ 08879. A 10am funeral mass will be offered on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Sacred Heart Church, South Amboy, NJ. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Parlin , NJ.
