George A. Baranowski
April 9, 1945 — April 11, 2023
George A. Baranowski, 78, of South Amboy passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at the Venetian Care Center, South Amboy. He was a lifelong city resident.
A US Army veteran of the Vietnam era, Mr. Baranowski was employed by the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 825, Springfield, for 43 years. He enjoyed fishing and boating and spending time with his dog Nikki.
Predeceased by his parents, George and Mary (Neff) Baranowski, and his sister Marilyn Patten and her husband Thomas, he is survived by his son, George; his daughter, Nancy Ann Meszaros; his sister Joan Creed and her husband Joseph; five grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Friends are invited to pay their respects to the family on Sunday, April 16, 2023 from 2 pm to 5 pm at the Kurzawa Funeral Home, 338 Main Street, South Amboy, NJ 08878. Cremation will be private.
