Frances Helen Stankan

Frances Helen Stankan (Nee: Chlebowski) 82 of Deposit, NY entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 1, 2022 surrounded by her family.
She was born and raised in Perth Amboy where she attended St Mary's High School. After graduation she began working for the Garden State Parkway Authority. Upon her retirement she moved to Deposit, NY. She was an avid reader and enjoyed volunteering at the Deposit Closet Thrift Store. She was loved and respected by all who knew her. She would do anything for anyone, and always had an open door. She exemplified pure unconditional love and grace, and her kindness was tangible. Her presence will always be missed but the imprint made on the lives of her family will last for generations.
She is predeceased by her parents Stephen & Frances Chlebowski, and her two brothers, Thomas Chlebowski and Richard Chlebowski.
Frances was the heart of her family and loved talking and spending time with all of them.
She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, William A. Stankan, daughters Diane Soles and her husband Gary, and Janice Uveges and her husband Daniel, a son William Stankan and his wife Christine, And her 6 grandchildren, Jenna Allen and her husband Carl, Taylor, Kaleigh & Connor Soles and Ryan & Brielle Stankan, 3 great grandchildren - Zach, Hannah & Helaina Allen, a brother Stephen Chlebowski and his wife Daria, and many nieces.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the Kurzawa Funeral Home 338 Main Street, South Amboy, NJ 08879 on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 from 4pm to 7pm. A 10 am funeral mass will be offered on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at St. Mary Church, South Amboy, NJ. Burial to follow at Saint Stanislaus Cemetery, Sayreville, NJ.
