Florence Margaret Karst, age 94, of Edison, NJ, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2024.
She was born on October 15, 1930, in New York, New York, to Arthur and Mary (Eimicke) Hornsteiner.
Florence was predeceased by her beloved husband, Harry Raymond Karst, and her parents. She was also predeceased by brother Arthur Hornsteiner.
Florence is survived by her three children: Harry Karst, Donna Sapanaro, and Robert Karst. She was a cherished grandmother to Jaime Karst, Christine DiGiovacchino, and her husband Jeremy Freer, Michael Sapanaro, and his wife Jillian, William Sapanaro, and Robert Karst, and his wife Kristy and a proud great-grandmother to Amelia Sapanaro, Patrick and Ryan Karst. And one future new born due in November.
A devoted mother and grandmother, Florence dedicated her life to her family. She worked for 25 years with UPS and retired with pride, but it was always her family that mattered most to her. She took great joy in the milestones of her children and grandchildren, and her love and legacy will be forever cherished by all who knew her.
Friends are invited to pay their respects on Monday, November 18, 2024 from 3pm to 6pm at the Kurzawa Funeral Home, 338 Main Street, South Amboy, NJ 08879. A graveside service will take place at Madonna Cemetery, Fort Lee, NJ on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at 11am
