Filomena Dolores Marchesani of Sayreville, New Jersey passed away peacefully on January 9, 2018, at the age of ninety-seven, at her home of fifty years, surrounded by her loving family and dedicated caregiver. Faye, as she is lovingly known, was born on August 28, 1920 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Tommaso and Guiseppina Reveruzzi. Prior to marriage, Faye worked with numerous designers in Manhattan in the garment district; she had a flair for fashion which caught the eyes of a dapper, handsome gentleman, Vincent Marchesani, who quickly proposed to beautiful Faye, and they married on April 20, 1941. Their married lives began in Brooklyn, New York and subsequently continued in Clifton, Lincoln Park, and finally Sayreville, New Jersey. Faye and Vincent brought four children into the world: Rocco, Madelaine, Lisa, and Claudia.

Faye is most remembered for her love and dedication to her husband, four children, and their families. Their busy lives were intrinsically important to her, and she was a source of inspiration to them in countless ways. Faye also derived great pleasure from her grandchildren, great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and dear friends. A vibrant woman in so many ways, Faye is particularly remembered for her love of fine cuisine, culinary expertise, elaborate gatherings, artful presentations, conviviality, and her beautiful, glowing smile. Faye shared laughter and love with all.

Filomena is survived by her loving children: Madelaine Shpak (Alan), Lisa Wilson (Phillip), Claudia Sands (Ira), cherished Grandmother to Jeffrey (Carla), Brian ( Mary Teresa), Ashley Shpak, Alexandra Bernstein (Jonathan), Olivia Wilson, and Crystal Sands. Adoring Great Grandmother to Vincent, Thomas, Sofia, and Brooke. Also surviving are Faye’s brother in-law, Reginald Argentieri and his sister, Gloria Rollo.

Faye is predeceased by her husband Vincent, son Rocco and his wife Judith, brother Joseph Reveruzzi and his wife Cora, sister Emma Livatino and her husband Jack, sister Josephine Argentieri and her daughter Ann Marie.

Viewing will be at The Kurzawa Funeral Home, 338 Main Street, South Amboy, NJ 08879, www.kurzawafh.com , on Saturday, January 13th from 3 to 5 PM. A prayer service by Father Thomas Ryan from Our Lady of Victories Church of Sayreville will take place at 4PM at the funeral home.
