Erica Theresa Ziegler

Erica Theresa Ziegler, 45, of South Amboy, NJ on Sunday morning, October 15th, 2023, at her home passed away suddenly after her long battle with cancer.
Erica was born June 28th, 1978, in Brooklyn, New York; daughter to Frank "Jerry" Ziegler, and the late Lorraine Ziegler (née McMahon). In college, Erica studied interior design and event planning; and later, graduated in 2013 as a pharmacy technician. She was interpersonal, existential, and artistic. But above all else she was dedicated to all of her family, and most especially her son. Erica was a true mother. In 2020, she was diagnosed with cancer that had progressively spread. Although the illness took a toll on her physical body, her spirit remained bright. She will be dearly missed and never forgotten.
She is survived by her father, Frank Ziegler, stepmother Kate Bass of Arverne, NY, oldest brother James Palladino, sister-in-law Jennifer Zaslavsky of Cortlandt Manor, NY, two younger siblings, Francis Ziegler of South Amboy, Monique Ziegler of Woodbridge, and her son Thomas Ziegler of Bayville.
Friends are invited to pay their respects on Monday, October 23, 2023 at the Kurzawa Funeral Home, 338 Main Street, South Amboy, NJ 08879 from 4 pm to 7 pm. In celebration of Erica's life, a 10:30 am mass will be offered at Saint Ambrose Church, Old Bridge, NJ. on Tuesday morning, October 24, 2023.
