Elizabeth Alexander

Elizabeth “Betty” Alexander passed away peacefully on March 27, 2026, at the age of 86.

Betty was born on December 16, 1939, and lived a life marked by simplicity, warmth, and quiet dedication to her community. She worked as a crossing guard, a role she took seriously, helping to keep children safe each day with a caring presence and a watchful eye. Many will remember her not just for what she did, but for how she did it—with kindness, consistency, and a genuine concern for others.

In her free time, Betty found joy in the little things, especially playing lottery scratch-offs, which brought her excitement and a bit of fun to her daily routine. She appreciated life’s simple pleasures and had a way of making ordinary moments feel special.

She was predeceased by her parents, Homer and Evelyn Alexander; her sister, Joann Holt; and her brother, Leroy Alexander Sr.

Betty will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her. She is survived by her niece, Selina Alexander, her nephew, Leroy Hawkes, and a host of other nieces, nephews, and friends who will cherish her memory.

Her presence, her spirit, and the care she showed to others will not be forgotten.
