Edward J Zarzyczny Sr
October 28, 1946 — April 19, 2018
Edward J. Zarzyczny Sr., 71 of South Amboy, entered into eternal rest on Thursday April 19, 2018 at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital surrounded by his family.
The funeral will be held at the Kurzawa Funeral Home; 338 Main Street, South Amboy, NJ 08879. Friends are invited to pay their respects to the family on Monday, April 23, 2018 from 10 AM - 12 PM at the funeral home. A catholic prayer service at 12 PM will be officiated by Msgr. Rev. Andrew Szaroleta from St. Bernadette's Church. Interment to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Sayreville.
Edward was born in Rahway, NJ the son of the late Andrew and Elizabeth Zarzyczny and is survived by his loving wife Dorothy (Nee Kawalec) and children Brian, Edward Jr. (Katie O’Neill), step-son Richard Wisenfelder, Jr. (Paula), and his three grandchildren Emily, Nathan, and Alysha. His sisters Tekla Zarzyczny and Roseann Tucker, and Nephew Peter Tucker.
He is predeceased by his step-son David Wisenfelder in 2016.
Edward worked at Reyonlds Metals for over 20 years, also proudly served his country in the army receiving a Distinguished Service Medal. Above all, time spent with family is what he treasured the most. He even considered the neighbor’s children to be his grandchildren (Glenn Davis, Jr. and Dean Davis) who called him “pop pop”. He will be dearly missed.
