It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Edward Charles Condiracci Sr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and dedicated community member on November 10, 2024.
Edward spent most of his life in Sayreville, NJ, before moving to Monroe Township, NJ, in 2017. A lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in South Amboy, NJ, Ed’s faith and commitment to his community were evident in all he did. In the early to mid-1970s, he served as a CYO advisor at Sacred Heart and coached an intramural parish basketball team, encouraging qualities of teamwork and sportsmanship in many young players.
Ed's passion for coaching extended beyond his parish. Through his business, E&E Construction, he sponsored a Sayreville Little League team for many years, served as a coach for various league teams, and was on the league’s Board of Directors for over 20 years. During this time, he provided mentorship, encouragement, and made a lasting impact on countless players.
When his father, Stephen Condiracci Sr., lost his sight, Ed joined the South Amboy chapter of The Lions Club, serving for a period as President. There, he found purpose in advocating for those with visual impairments, carrying forward his father’s legacy and contributing his time to support those in need.
Ed leaves behind his devoted wife, Sharon, his sons, Edward II and Joseph, and his beloved grandchildren, Michael and Katelyn, who brought him endless pride and joy.
Family and friends are invited to honor Ed's life and legacy on Saturday, November 16, 2024 from 11 am to 1 pm, followed by a catholic prayer service starting at 1 pm at Kurzawa Funeral Home, 338 Main Street, South Amboy, NJ 08879.
In our hearts, Ed will be remembered for his generosity and devotion to his family and community. His legacy will live on in the lives of those he touched.
