Dorothy J. Zarzyczny

Dorothy Zarzyczny (Nee: Kawalec), 79 of South Amboy, NJ, also known as “Walter’s daughter”, entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 26, 2025.
Born in Newark, NJ, she moved to South Amboy at the age of 5 where she attended Sacred Heart
Elementary School, then St. Mary’s High School. She learned to cook at a very early age and made many wonderful meals throughout her lifetime, especially around the holidays. She was a devoted wife and mother and was a true heartbeat of her family who loved her very much and, coupled with a strong faith, she was a lifelong communicant of Sacred Heart Church. Dorothy brought a smile to everyone she met, and her infectious personality and love will forever linger with her loved ones
Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Edward Zarzyczny, Sr. and her son David Wisenfelder.
She is survived by her brother Walter Kawalec, Jr., and his wife Connie, her sons, Richard Wisenfelder,Jr. and his wife Paula, Brian Zarzyczny, and Edward Zarzyczny, Jr, and his wife Kate. Lastly she leaves behind three grandchildren; Alysha Wisenfelder and Emily and Nathan Zarzyczny.
Friends are invited to pay their respects at the Kurzawa Funeral Home 338 Main Street, South Amboy, NJ 08879 on Friday, May 30, 2025 from 9 am to 12 pm, with a prayer service at 11:30 am, she will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Parlin, NJ.
