Dorothy "Dottie" M. Krosnowski

Dorothy M. “Dottie” Krosnowski, (Nee: Cieslarczyk) 90, formerly of South Amboy entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 7, 2026 of natural causes at Wedgewood Gardens in Freehold.

Dorothy was born Tuesday, March 10,1936 to Felix and Sophie Cieslarczyk and resided most of her life in South Amboy. She attended Hoffman high school in South Amboy and was also a graduate of The Park Beauty School in Newark, NJ. On September 22, 1956 she married Ronald Krosnowski and together they raised a daughter, Sharon, until Ronald's death in 1986. Dorothy was a dedicated homemaker who was active in the Sacred Heart PTA. She was an accomplished ballroom dancer who also loved to travel.

She is predeceased by her parents and brother Captain Edward Cieslarczyk of the south amboy police department.

Dottie is survived by her daughter Sharon Popek, her husband Dennis Popek and grandson Mark Popek who reside in Tennessee. Also survived by a great granddaughter Audrey Rose Popek.

Friends are invited to pay their respects to the family on Tuesday May 12, 2026, from 8am to 9:30am at the Kurzawa Funeral Home,338 Main Street, South Amboy, NJ 08879. A 10am funeral mass will take place at the Sacred Heart Church, in South Amboy, NJ . She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Parlin, NJ
