Diane C. Fitzgerald
June 30, 1952 — May 17, 2025
Diane Fitzgerald (Nee: Witkowski) 72 of South Amboy, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 17,2025 in the care of JFK Hospital Medical Center staff in Edison, New Jersey.
Born June 1952, Diane was the cherished daughter of the late Cecilia and Edwin R. Witkowski. She grew up alongside her brother Edwin A. Witkowski, who predeceased her. South Amboy was Diane’s primary home where she raised her family and created lasting bonds within the community. Most of her working career she was a bus driver for those with special needs. She loved her job and took pride in making sure everyone made it home safely no matter the weather.
Diane is survived by her loving children Steven A Fitzgerald Jr., John P. Fitzgerald, and Kelly A. Fitzgerald. Her grandchildren Raven A. Voight and Ryan P. Fitzgerald, as well as many nephews, grand nephews and grand nieces. All who will forever hold dear memories of the strong woman she was.
Friends are invited to pay their respects to the family on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 from 4pm to 7pm at the Kurzawa Funeral Home 338 Main Street, South Amboy, NJ 08879, at 6:30pm a catholic prayer service will be offered.
