Colleen S. Vass
January 26, 1952 — June 19, 2024
We are regretful to announce the passing of Colleen Vass, 72 of Sayreville, NJ, who passed away at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick on June 19, 2024, after battling ongoing illnesses.
Colleen was born on January 26, 1952, to Adele Kushner and Willaim Micheal Vass. After graduating from Madison Township High School in 1970, Colleen received her associate’s degree in computer programming at Chubb Institute.
Her diverse skills and dedication marked Colleen's professional journey. She served as an office manager at Sony from 1989 to 2002, leaving a lasting impact on the company. In addition, Colleen worked for Country Club Lawns as a receptionist until her passing.
In her free time, Colleen enjoyed throwing lavish parties, creating beautiful decorations, and going shopping. Her creativity and sense of design always left others in awe, especially her candy tables and centerpieces. All who were close to her knew her love of Peanuts and Snoopy.
Colleen was a valued and loved member of her friends and family. She is survived by her cousins Nicole Zanon and Taylor Zanon of East Brunswick, New Jersey, and Linda and David Bocian of Brick, New Jersey.
Friends are invited to pay their respects on Monday, June 24, 2024, from 3pm to 6pm, at the Kurzawa Funeral Home, 338 Main Street, South Amboy, NJ 08879. Cremation will be private.
