It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carol Elizabeth Roessle, who left this world on March 3, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on January 11, 1946, in South Amboy, New Jersey, Carol's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, dedication, and an unyielding spirit.
Carol was the cherished daughter of Fred and Elizabeth Grimes, who nurtured her with values of kindness and resilience. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Fred and Elizabeth Grimes, and her devoted husband, Gerald Roessle, with whom she shared a special bond for many years following their marriage in August 1969.
Carol's adventurous spirit led her to serve her country in the United States Air Force, where she exemplified honor and dedication. After her military service, she transitioned into civilian life, where she worked for Eastern Airlines and the United States Army, showcasing her remarkable work ethic and commitment to service.
Family was paramount in Carol's life. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Jeanette Roessle of Pennsylvania, and her son, Scott Roessle, along with his wife, Dawn, of New Jersey. Carol was also a proud grandmother to Kylie Roessle, who brought her immense joy and pride. Her brother, Charles Grimes, along with his children, Brandon and Lauren of Virginia, also carry on her legacy.
Beyond her professional and family commitments, Carol had a passion for life that was evident in her love for horses. Many fond memories were created around her fascination with these majestic creatures, which brought her countless hours of happiness and tranquility.
As per her final wishes, there will be no formal services held for Carol. She will be laid to rest at sea alongside her beloved husband, Gerald, reflecting her desire for a peaceful and serene farewell.
Carol Elizabeth Roessle will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend—an extraordinary woman whose impact on the lives of those who knew her will resonate for years to come. In our hearts, she will forever remain a source of light, love, and inspiration. Rest in peace, dear Carol; you will be dearly missed.
