Betty Mahalick, (Nee: Palamtere) of Parlin, NJ, passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at the age of
90. Born in Carbondale, Pennsylvania, she later moved to Elizabeth, NJ, where she lived
for 18 years before settling in Parlin.

During her time in Elizabeth, Betty and her beloved husband Ed were active members
of their community, especially through their involvement with the Boy Scouts. A dedicated professional, Betty worked in the medical field for over 30 years in a variety of roles, always bringing care and compassion to those she served.

A woman of strong faith, Betty was a devoted communicant of Our Lady of Victory
Parish in Sayreville. She generously gave her time as a longtime volunteer at the Christ
Church Thrift Shop in South Amboy, where she served for over two decades. She was
also an active member of the Red Hat Society and the Widows and Widowers group of
St. Thomas.

Betty was predeceased by her parents and her grandfather, Thomas J. Amos, who
lovingly raised her. She was also preceded in death by her husband Edward, with whom
she shared 56 wonderful years of marriage before his passing in 2010.

She leaves behind a loving family: her sons, Marc Mahalick and Edward (Casey)
Mahalick; her grandchildren Kyle Patrick, Aaron Edward, and Kathleen Laine; and her great-grandson, Alex. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her warmth,
dedication, and generous spirit.

Visiting hours were from June 28, 1935 to August 9, 2025 and she will be laid to rest along with her husband Edward at Cloverleaf Cemetery, Woodbridge, NJ.

Arrangements are under the direction of Kurzawa Funeral Home and are private.
