Anne M. Caracappa
August 19, 1952 — April 12, 2022
Anne M. Caracappa of South Amboy passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at the age of 69.
Born in Bronx, New York the daughter of Joseph and Anna. At the age of 7, Anne and her family moved to South Amboy where she lived all of her life. She attended Saint Mary’s grammar and high schools. After high school Anne went on to graduate from Monmouth College. Anne worked as a probation officer in Middlesex County for 25 years.
Anne was predeceased by both of her parents, Joseph and Anna Caracappa (Di Berardino). She is survived by her brothers Joseph Caracappa and wife Delia, Gerald Caracappa and wife Valerie, James Caracappa and wife Mary. Anne is also survived by her nephews Michael Caracappa, Douglas Caracappa and wife Kelly, Nicholas Caracappa and wife Jillian, and niece Katherine Aurrichio (Caracappa) and husband Brett, and great nephew Dalton. Anne is also survived by many other family members and friends who will miss her very much. Anne’s rescue dog, Ginger will also miss her.
Family and friends were important to Anne. She was a loving and caring daughter who retired in order to provide homecare for her mother. Throughout her life she was a thoughtful and caring daughter, sister and friend. Anne, known as Aunt “T” was especially good to and proud of her nephews and niece. To the end Anne was a thoughtful, kind and giving person as is demonstrated in her gift of life to others through her organ donation as her final gift.
