Anna M. Bates

Anna M. Bates (nee Marangio) 74 of South Amboy entered into eternal rest on Monday, January 18, 2021.
Born in Jamaica, Queens the daughter of Joseph and Frances Marangio, Anna resided in South Amboy for the past 48 years.
Anna was employed as a seamstress for Komar Intimates in South Amboy prior to working as a hospice home health aid for the Visiting Nurse Association.
Anna is now joined in heaven with her parents, her dear friend William F Bates, Sr., her brother and sister in law, Salvatore and Christine Marangio, and Brothers Nello and Charles.
She is survived by the love of her life and soulmate George Haas, Jr., missed by her daughter Vickie Fernandes, her son William F. Bates, Jr., and his wife Theresa. She will also be greatly missed by her grandchildren Felecia, Jonathan and Jordan Fernandes, William and Tiffany Bates, and her two great-grandchildren, Alex and Domani Fernandes that she cherished dearly.
She is also survived by her loving sister, Rose Marie Agugliaro as well as many nephews, nieces, and many good friends.
Services will be private.
