Ann Hettrich died peacefully on Wednesday, May 31st, 2017, in Old Bridge, NJ. She was 97.
Services are under the care and direction of Kurzawa Funeral Home, 338 Main Street in South Amboy.
Ann was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts on September 28, 1919 to Salvatore and Giovanna Faro. She was married to the late Clarence Day prior to her marriage to the late William Hettrich. As a young adult, Ann worked as a seamstress in the Garment District in Manhattan. She was loved and adored by many and will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren for the great stories she told.
She is survived by her seven grandchildren, Scott Allen and his girlfriend Karen Conde, Kimlee Allen, Sarah Ligo and her husband Jeffrey, Shaina Brenner and her boyfriend Jose Santiago, Samantha Awadallah and her husband Ahmed, David Brenner and Danny Brenner, seven great-grandchildren, Aden, Jeffrey, Autumn, Nate, Ally, Eddy and Ben and one sister, DeeDee.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Salvatore and Giovanna Faro, ex-husband Clarence Day and husband William Hettrich.
Services will be held privately as a family.
