Louis Joseph Kwiatek

Louis Joseph Kwiatek, of South Amboy entered into eternal rest after a long battle with Cancer on Monday, September 23, 2019 at his home after celebrating his 78th birthday Sunday with all of his family. Louis was born in Elizabeth the son of Joseph and Beatrice, he graduated from Edison Vocational School and worked for the Exxon Refinery as a Drafting Engineer. He moved to South Amboy in 1970 and continued working up until retiring in 2000. Louis had a passion to work with his hands, fishing, hunting, bowling and taking trips to Atlantic City. He loved the old farmhouse in Pennsylvania he bought and was renovating it himself with the help of his sons, Louis and James. Louis adored hunting dogs and especially his current dog who loved to curl up next to him. Louis is survived by his wife of 33 years Linda, his children Terri Bates, Christine Kwiatek and James Kwiatek, grandchildren Jennifer Bates, Sarah Bates, Louis Kwiatek and Scott Kwiatek. Also by his sister Beatrice Dusak, sister-in-law Helen Kwiatek and his dog Lizzie. Predeceased Louis is his parents, his son Louis Jr., brothers Joseph, Fred, John, Frank and Tony, sister Anna Boronski and his dogs Dixie, Lancer, Chuckles, Chance, Curly and Cocoa. Friends are invited to a memorial remembrance service at the Kurzawa Funeral Home on Thursday, September 26, 2019 from 4pm to 7pm. A prayer service will be held with Fr. Stanley Gromadzki from Sacred Heart Church at 6:30pm. Donations are requested in lieu of flowers to go to the research of Prostate Cancer Foundation at www.pcf.org or to the Caring Hospice 732-661-9373 in memory of Louis J. Kwiatek.
