Larry W. Cole

Larry Wayne Cole of Sayreville passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at the age of 66. Born at Walter Reed Army Hospital, Larry went on to graduate from John Fitzgerald Kennedy High School in Willingboro, NJ in 1973 and went on to work as a corrections officer for the state of New Jersey. He retired from Trenton State Prison as a Corrections Lieutenant in 2001. In addition to his career as a corrections officer, Larry also was a member of the Willingboro Emergency Squad from 1975-1985 as well as a member of the Willingboro Fire Company. After his retirement, Larry became a member of the Sayreville Emergency Squad from 2009-2019 where he also became a certified New Jersey EMT in 2010. Larry was a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan and some of his hobbies aside from watching football included taking boats out on the Delaware River and cooking. Larry was predeceased by both of his parents, William and Hasel (Harper) Cole as well as his younger brother, Michael Cole. He is survived by his son Joshua Cole and his daughter Dana Cole as well as his sister Nancy Blue and his brother David Cole. A memorial visitation will be held at the Fountain of Life Center, 2035 Columbus Road, Burlington, NJ 08016 on Friday, April 22, 2022 from 5pm to 6:30pm with a celebration of life service to begin at 6:30pm following the visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Fountain of Life Kingdom Builders, 2035 Columbus Road, Burlington, NJ 08016.
