Helena Pipala

Mrs. Helena Pipala (Nee: Szymanski) 84, of South Amboy, New Jersey entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 30, 2021. Helena was the daughter of the late Antoni Szymanski and the late Zofia Rakowska. She was born in Zagoty, Poland and came to the United States to live with her father in 1958. Helena lived in Perth Amboy for two years before she married and settled in South Amboy in 1960. Upon her arrival to the United States, Helena was a lifelong communicant of the Sacred Heart Church in South Amboy. She lived her life “praying it forward” through her involvement in the Sacred Heart Rosary Committee. She will always be remembered for her loving, giving nature towards others and also known for her talent in cooking golabki, pierogi and chrusciki. Helena worked at the leather factory, Schott Brothers, Inc. in Perth Amboy for a few years, leaving there to purchase a working farm in Monroe Twp., where she and her husband enjoyed many years entertaining friends and raising their children, making many fond memories. Helena is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Joseph Pipala. Loving children John Pipala and his wife Mary Anne, Andrew Pipala, Joseph Pipala and his wife Jennifer, Diane Pipala, Ann Marie Falzarano and her husband Louis. Cherished grandchildren Hunter, Briona, Ashley, Phillip, Alexa, Joey, Nicholas, and Zachary. Friends are invited to the Kurzawa Funeral Home, 338 Main Street, South Amboy on Saturday, June 5, 2021 from 8 am to 9:30 am. A 10 am funeral mass will be offered in Sacred Heart Church, South Amboy. Family and friends are invited for the prayers of committal and the burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Parlin section of Sayreville directly after mass.
