Clive "Sven" Larson
September 30, 1931 - April 2, 2020
Clive ”Sven” Larson, 88 of South Amboy formerly of Baldwin, New York entered into eternal rest on April 2nd 2020. Clive was born and raised in New York City, the son of Agnes and Leonard. Clive was a graduate of NYU. A lifelong baseball lover who tried out for the New York Giants baseball team in the 50’s. He served his country proudly in the Air Force during the Korean War. He worked briefly as a English teacher and then helped others as a parole officer for over 30 years. Given the nickname “Sven “ by his Scandinavian mother. Sven loved tinkering in his yard and gardening at his home on Long Island that he shared with his wife for over 45 years. He enjoyed drawing, cooking, reading the New York Times, talking over and analyzing day events with his beloved wife Irene. A marriage that lasted happily for over 55 years. Sven loved spending time with his family and lifelong friends, talking sports, a good meal, a good scotch and a winning scratch off lottery ticket. Always holding on to the dream that his Beloved Mets would one day win another World Series. Sven is survived by his devoted wife Irene, his loving children Lisa Sutter and her husband Ron and Eric Larson, and his wife Cassie. He was a cherished grandfather to Josie and Tyler Larson.
