Christine Hawley

Christine Hawley (Nee: Kot) 85 of Marlboro entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, January 23, 2019. She was born in Poland, the daughter of the late Jozef and Stephania Kot. She emigrated to America when she was in her 20's and was a seamstress for most her life. Christine was a tremendously generous person who loved her family and keeping traditions with her heritage and faith. Above all she was a devoted Catholic and member of the ZPA in Perth Amboy. She loved enjoying her free time traveling, cruising, Atlantic City, outdoor concerts and the socials and events at the ZPA with her friends. She will be greatly missed as her spirit was something that would fill a room. Christine, was known as “Babcia” to so many of her grandchildren’s friends, never missed a school event, Girl Scout meeting and was always there to help support any activity they were involved in. Christine is survived by her loving children Christopher Hawley, his wife Kathleen (O’Brien), Edward Hawley, his wife Janice (Senflug) and Richard Hawley, his wife Stephanie (Mollica). Adored by her grandchildren Allyson Knox, her husband Dennis, Jeffrey Hawley, his wife Jenlyn, Alex Hawley, Samantha Mollica and Amanda Hawley. Cherished by her great grandchildren Liam and Amelia Knox. Also, she is survived by her nieces Hedy Gilbert, Yolanda Lenty and Barbara Lenty. Christine was predeceased by her husband Theodore” Ted”, sons Henry and Robert Hawley, sisters Anna Jagielnicki, Aneila Lenty. Friends are invited to pay their respects on Monday, January 28, 2019 at the Kurzawa Funeral Home, 338 Main Street, South Amboy, NJ 08879 from 2 to 4 pm, 6 to 8 pm and from 9 to 9:30 am on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 before a 10 am funeral mass at Sacred Heart Church, South Amboy. Burial will take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Parlin.
